The Forge Roblox Beginner's Guide 2025

The Forge Beta stands out: dig up ore, craft and upgrade your own gear, then fight using what you built. This guide covers the fundamentals so you can ramp quickly.

The Forge Beta asks you to gather ores, forge and improve your own equipment, then use it to take down enemies. If you want a smooth start, these notes will keep you on track—here’s our streamlined beginner’s walkthrough.

Money and Farming

Farming

At the start, offload ores to Greedy Cey instead of crafting them—it's quicker and more consistent cash.

Once Forgotten Kingdom is open, farm the volcano’s fast-respawning rocks. Use the idle trick (hold LMB, press ESC, close menu) to keep mining hands-free.

Runes, Essences, and Gear

Runes

Essences dropped by zombies fuel enhancements; tougher enemies drop higher tiers. Runes add perks like extra ore drops or more damage.

Hold your top runes for high-tier pickaxes or weapons so they aren’t wasted.

How to Mine in The Forge

Mining

Equip your pickaxe (slot 2) and chip away at rocks in The Cave. Drops are RNG-driven; stacking Luck bumps rare ore odds.

All Pickaxes

Gear

Pick up new pickaxes from Miner Fred in Stonewake's Cross. Higher-tier picks boost Mine Power, Luck, and Rune slots—upgrading accelerates ore quality and speed.

How Combat Works

Combat

Combat is straightforward: weave light/heavy attacks and block to reduce incoming damage. Perfect blocks turn into parries that briefly stun foes.

How to Forge Equipment

Forging

Forging converts your ores into weapons or armor. The ore mix sets stats, weight, and overall quality.

  • Use the smelter (E).
  • Pick Weapon or Armor.
  • Slot up to 4 ores (fewer works if requirements are met).
  • Minigame 1: drag to melt, keep heat in the target band.
  • Minigame 2: release the pour inside the highlight.
  • Minigame 3: click to crack the mold.
  • Timing rings: click as circles overlap to raise quality (up to 100%).
  • Let the cooldown animation finish to lock in the item.

How to Upgrade Equipment

Upgrades

Upgrades push gear power further—combine enhancing and runes for best results.

  • Enhancing: spend essences (from zombies/bosses) to raise stats and unlock rune slots.
  • Runes: add passive effects (poison, burn, lifesteal, stat boosts). You can pull and reuse them later—slot them after enhancing.
